Are you looking for the best ziplining in North Carolina? Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours offers 13 different zip lines and 8 bridges in the woods on the original zipline canopy tour in the Nantahala Gorge area. Our tours have a staff member to Guest ratio of one to five. Our Rangers are trained to interpret the natural environment and offer a personal guided experience pointing out natural features along the way.
Experience an exhilarating tour & over 1/2 mile adventure with:
More than just a zipline ride, Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours takes you through multiple ecosystems, past hemlocks and into hardwood treetops. Take flight above the forest floor blanketed with mountain laurel, rhododendron, flame azalea and other native plants. While in flight, watch for hawks, deer and other wildlife; or spot the remains of a moonshine still while rangers share the cultural history of the Nantahala Gorge. We have added to the canopy tour to include platforms that have Clingman’s Dome, Fontana Lake and waterfall views. Travel out to the point for the highest platform, then on to the highest point in a tree with unbelievable views of the Smoky Mountains. Three more zips takes you right back to our Tree House reception area.
State-of-the-art equipment and support is provided including helmet, full body harness, trolley, gloves, tether lines and two canopy rangers per group. All flyers must be in good physical condition. Flyers must be at least 10 years old and between 70 and 250 lbs. Closed-toe shoes required, modest clothing recommended. Our professional Canopy Rangers provide all the necessary instruction & assistance. All Canopy Tour Rangers are trained to ACCT standards and all courses are built and inspected to ACCT standards to provide safety and fun!
